I had a can of chickpeas but no (stop me if this sounds familiar) tahini. Who keeps a stock of tahini? Sadly not me! My favourite flatbread to serve this with is the BFree Gluten free pitta which has 118 cals.

Ingredients

  • 1 x 400g (14oz) can chickpeas (240g / 9oz drained weight), rinsed and drained

  • 1 tsp garlic oil

  • juice of 1 lemon

  • salt and freshly ground black pepper, to taste

  • 1 heaped tsp peanut butter (no added sugar)

  • 1 tbsp water

Directions

  • Put all your ingredients into a liquidiser or blender and blitz until smooth. Add a little extra water if it’s too thick.
